Those who know him or are close with him could possibly tell you that he is sometimes... moody or has shifting personalities. This is due to certain personas of his other versions taking over after housing their souls within him...
A Warrior from another World and one of Tamamo Gozen's descendants.Due to his choice of saving Abel Muscovado instead of his Star, they now find themselves living in another timeline where she exists but he doesn't. This resulted to him becoming an Anomaly of Time and thus is unaffected by a lot of magicks or arts involving the concept or spells of time - forbidden or not.While he and Abel were traversing through rifts, he finds himself in one World where a version of him chose to end Abel - resulting to this "him" becoming a vessel to a Voidsent due to the pain and despair that overcame him from losing someone near and dear to his heart.The Gaius of that timeline had found a way to save this Yeux from becoming a complete abomination, yet was no match for his prowess. This "Voidsent Yeux" retained a bit of his humanity out of his love for the former Black Wolf, so he asked Yeux to end them both. In doing so, he will become something even Fate cannot touch.This resulted to Yeux acquiring newfound powers that he has been learning to control, but it seems that versions of him often take over and why he is adept in a lot of combat styles.Currently, he is the only living version of himself who is the Warrior of Light as far as he knows, and his eyes appear closer to that of the Ancients after having collected multiple souls of his other selves in other Worlds. Doing the same to his lover had pushed them both in learning more of their past - of a time when they were once whole.For he was once Yuta, the one meant to be Azem, yet his love for Surtr made him refuse the offer of the XIVth seat and it ended up being bestowed to Abel's Unsundered version: Hevel.Prior to current events, he started off as an adventurer seeking for his father. His mother had given him the adventurer name of "Yeux" to hide his identity and bloodline. Since then, he has always been using this, reserving his true name for his one love.Currently, he is the strongest him out of all his variants from other Worlds.
The Bearer of Light: Defying Fate
While he once walked the path of penance by finding the souls of his other versions as well as his lover's in other Worlds, a deeper understanding of his role as the bearer of Light had led him to stop.He has, after all, chosen to defy Fate. Fighting for the belief that everyone will always have a choice, and that the only thing inevitable is their deaths.Determined with his stance while also carrying the weight of his other shards' will, he initially struggled to maintain the light in keeping Abel's Darkness at bay.While he can still travel to different Worlds to locate their shards, it was now only to collect their souls once they've passed on so that he and Gaiux will one day become whole again.With Abel's Darkness gone as Hevel decided to rest for good, this created a series of events that even Yuta's Light has gone and will no longer affect their future shards - freeing them.This resulted to Yeux finding himself conflicted. For being an Anomaly in this World, a World where he does not even belong, a place he doesn't know his purpose or part is, leaves him lost.Thankfully, his (only) comfort and source of strength, his husband - the man who swore to be with him in all Worlds and in all Timelines, is there with him throughout his ordeals.Forever & Always.
Bloodline
Tamamo-Gozen
Shares the bloodline of the powerful Auspice of the East through his mother. This is also the most potent among his genetics, and he has been described as "beautiful" by many people he's encountered. He can shapeshift when needed, and has a 9-tailed version of himself that can be destructive or simply cause mischief.Keeper of the Moon
Yeux's mother is also from a Tribe of Keepers who have rare genetics that grant some of the males the capability to mate with the same sex - a way to ensure their kin does not go extinct.Changes from the First
The Light corruption from the First in his original timeline caused his hair to turn a snowy white color while his red eyes turned blue after Ardbert's help. It can be argued that these changes would have been inevitable eitherway as his mother has blue eyes and white hair.Allag Lineage
Although Yeux's father hails from Doma, his ancestors are of Allag descent. Though not as potent as the Tamamo Gozen's genes, it can be noted that Yeux has the potential to use the Crystal Tower, albeit limited.

Gaiux Baelsar - Husband

Once known as Surtr from the time of the Unsundered, and also known as Gaius van Baelsar in other Worlds. In this current one, he was reborn with his memories of his other selves in tact, but rather than being a Garlean, he was a simple Hyur who lost his family many years ago. He had only gotten by with the thought of reuniting with his beloved, uncovering secret societies and learning forbidden knowledge which he used to find Yeux, then later destroy these archives as he found a horrible truth that could endanger his beloved's life if it fell in the wrong hands.
Abel Muscovado - Adoptive Younger Sister

Formerly the Bearer of Darkness and a shard of Azem (named Hevel), she became Yeux's adoptive sister from Yeux's original World. Due to tapping into Forbidden Magicks, she caused the sundering of multiple Worlds before her brother chose to end his own World to once and for all, stop Abel from doing the same to the one they landed in. Currently, she has given birth to twins, married to Pinen but both are in an open relationship, and is simply getting by as a mom of two.
Pinen Muscovado - Sister-in-Law

Married to Abel, Pinen is the bread-loving and sweet Lalafell sister-in-law whom Yeux adores to bits. He is always thankful for her love and care towards Abel, as well as her helpful nature when it comes to assisting those in need. Yet like him, he also knows there is a part of Pinen that one should not ever provoke or anger. Usually, it's when it involves Abel. He finds it amusing how she would address Gaiux as if he was still the Legatus, making Yeux note that Pinen's memories seems to have carried over from her other lives, too.
Ashleigh Nightingale - Adopted Daughter

He met Ashleigh in a chance encounter: his curiosity and interest were captured by the brightness of her soul, shining in his eyes despite her being surrounded by extraordinary individuals. Whether it was on a whim or another reason he couldn't explain, Yeux found himself adopting her as his daughter and has, since then, been known to be her mom among her peers.
Muirenn Shyama - Adopted Daughter

Muirenn met Yeux at a chance encounter while she was doing one of her many part-time jobs in Eorzea. During a casual conversation they had, she suddenly calls him “mama” by accident as he reminded her of her own deceased mother whom she lost at a very young age. Yeux, having a soft spot, felt compelled to adopt her as his own. Thus making her the latest addition to his growing family.
Artorias Etnia - Adoptive Older Brother

A seemingly orange-haired Viera who had always been plagued with troubles from the first time they met in Hingashi many years ago. Fate brings them back as Artorias, a student at the same university that one of Yeux's shards enrolledin. He learned of this Yeux's true identity and other identities, and through adventures and academics, they forged a bond and adopted each other as brothers.

The Executioner: Charon or Death?
Creative takes I had on Yeux as Charon or even Death based on his current lore progress...Ferrying souls
- Rather than taking or sending them to the afterlife, he guides them.
- He has the ability to still hold onto souls and safekeep them, and also return them.
Coins as payment
- Rather than coins, payment is the person's redemption of sorts.
- They can only cross/return when they've repented, or they stuck in purgatory for eternity.
Association with Death
- Mainly a Reaper despite his combat skills thanks to multiple shards.
- Is seen as an executioner, but confused as a judge & jury as well.
- The judge role can be closer to that of Fate, while jury is more of Destiny's. The former is Hevel's OC, the latter is mine.
- That he defies what should be certain can be likened as if he is Death by being the one to decide whether today is the day one dies or not (i.e. Abel's case, his fight with Mishkal, etc.)
Appearances/Depictions
- Rather than physical appearance of being old, it is his mind that is older than his looks
- There is a shroud of mystery that is of Charon, much like the truth that is behind the smiles of Yeux.
River Styx & Darkness
- Something about water makes Yeux feel more at his element, stronger even...
- Despite being the bearer of light, he takes the most comfort in the dark.
- One can argue he is simply the light in the dark in the "eyes" of the lost souls.
Remaining Neutral, albeit Chaotic
- Much like how Charon assists even those who defy the Underworld or Hades in literature, Yeux does not answer to anyone and moves to the beat of his own drum.
Ties with the Night
- As Charon is the son of Erebus (Darkness Deity) and Nyx (Night Goddess), Yeux finds the night sky far more fascinating and calming much like how the darkness is comforting despite his inherited legacy.
Misunderstood
- Much like how beings of the dark are automatically seen as bad or evil, so is how Yeux is often only seen as certain roles as society sees fits. Frankly, he finds it annoyingly amusing and plays along for his own entertainment.
- Often labeled based on appearances, though he admits it's due to what he chooses to show to people he doesn't fully trust.

Hello! I've pretty much been addressed by my WoL's name (and some nicknames given), so feel free to just call me "Yeu-chan" or "Yuyu" or even just "Yeux".
You can also read his name as "Yeu" or "Yoox", thus some of the puns involving "you"!
